MY THOUGHTS⇣

I've read quite a few reviews where a lot of people didn't understand why there is a boy in the mix with these two sisters, personally, I wouldn't have liked this as much without the boy (Alex).  On the surface, this story is about these two sisters working out their differences and finding their way back to each other.  But for me, this story is mostly about the personal growth of the MC, Emma. Alex plays an important part in Emma's growth; therefore, I believe he's an integral part of the story.

I enjoyed the survival on the deserted island aspect of the story more so than the flashbacks of teenage drama.  However, since the flashbacks are necessary to explain why things played out as they did on the island, they were also an integral part of the story.

Overall, it was a good-ish kind of story in the three-ish range of star ratings with a boost from the easy-to-listen-to voice of Shannon McManus.
